ROUTES AVAILABLE:

1. "GORGES OF LAVELLO" ROUTE

Distance: approx. 15 km | Total height difference: 350 m | Max. altitude: 459 m | Time required: approx. 2 hrs | Difficulty: easy

A spectacular nature trail suitable for everyone, starting from the centre of Cusano Mutri, winding along the banks of the Titerno river, with asphalt and dirt tracks that are easy to follow. 

The most interesting points of this route are: 

The Forre di Lavello: spectacular canyons carved out over thousands of years by the erosive action of the waters of the Titerno river. An enchanted place where you can take a photo stop and refresh yourself.

"Hannibal's Bridge: dating back to Roman times, according to legend, the Carthaginian leader Hannibal passed through here with his elephants at the time of the Second Punic War to hide war booty on nearby Mount Swan.

2. HOLY VALLEY" ROUTE

Distance: approx. 25 km | Total height difference: 780 m | Maximum altitude: 720 m | Time required: approx. 3.5 hours | Difficulty: Medium

A route of medium difficulty suitable for those who want to get involved and explore villages, viewpoints and climb to the summit of Mount Erbano to enjoy a unique panorama and experience the adrenalin rush of mountain trails.

It starts from the historic centre of Cusano Mutri and continues along the course of the Titerno river to the Forre di Lavello.
The route continues on to the municipality of San Lorenzello, passing through the municipality of Cerreto Sannita, for a walk through the historic centre and then straight on to Monte Ebano, through the locality known as Valle Santa. 
Reaching the arta part of the mountain, the route descends through spectacular mountain trails amidst unspoilt nature and breathtaking views of the Matese Mountains and the Telesina Valley, before ending the route in the historic centre of Cusano di Mutri
