Enjoy a nature walk along the sheep-tracks of the Alto Casertano hills, with a guided tour and tasting at a farm.
The experience will start from the village of Villa Santa Croce, and specifically, from a renowned farm that produces native pulses and vegetables such as the Riccio Tomato, the Caiatine Hills Chickpea, the Lenzariello Bean and the Slow Food Presidium Caiazzana Olive. A rich breakfast in the ancient courtyard of a 19th century farmhouse will be the start of a route that will take you through verdant landscapes and characteristic paths. Through anecdotes and stories you will discover the hills surrounding the municipality of Caiazzo, home of Franco Pepe's famous pizzeria, Pepe in Grani.
After the pleasant experiential excursion, you will return to the small village of Villa Santa Croce where you will be able to taste, together with the owners, the typical products of the farm with a succulent lunch-tasting.
The location will be a rural farmhouse that tells the story of the family, which has always been dedicated to agriculture, and here you will be able to get to know the farming world at first hand through relics and objects from another era. The most characteristic element, where you can fully immerse yourself in the local context, will be the 'tasting barn'. An old animal shelter, renovated and transformed into a cosy convivial environment.
