What you will do

Let yourself be conquered by the medieval charm of the Castle of Capaccio and discover stories and anecdotes during a trekking route with aperitif at sunset

Ivan, a local guide, will take you on a trek through history and legends related to the Medieval Castle of Capaccio, which with its ruins dominates the cliff of Mount Calapazio.

You will go in search of the ruins of the majestic castle that in 1246 was the center of the so-called "Conspiracy of the Barons", a real revolutionary action born from Campania feudal lords who allied with Pope Innocent IV, tried to subvert the power of Frederick II of Swabia.

The path to reach the walls of the castle, is reached after a walk of 1 Km and is characteristic and very short (about 2 Km round trip). Once at the top you can enjoy a beautiful sunset with a beautiful view of the plain of Sele and you can have an impromptu aperitif based on local specialties, before walking on the way back.

Although there is not much left of the old castle, you will be fascinated by the panorama, history and its location.
