Starting from the Abetina del Taburno we will set off along a dirt track through the Foresta del Re (King's Forest), established during the reign of Ferdinand IV and characterised by mixed woodland ecosystems of beech, spruce and fir, until we reach the Piano Melaino plateau (1152m). Here, with a bit of luck, depending on the season, we will be able to see herds of horses and cattle grazing on the large plateau with considerable historical and environmental importance.
Continuing along the route, we will reach the locality "Quattro Vie", an evocative spot in the heart of the beech forest where we can enjoy a coffee with the group and admire a unique panorama from the Partenio Regional Park to the Matese Regional Park with the Agro-Casertano and Valle Caudina in the background.
Immediately afterwards we meet the route that will take us to the summit of Monte Taburno for the final stage with a packed lunch break before starting our descent to the starting point.
