FULL PROGRAM

• The meeting point will be Piazza del Plebiscito, one of the largest in Italy: you will see the Royal Palace of Naples from the corners of one of the city’s oldest cafés, the Gambrinus Café.
• You will visit the inside of the majestic Galleria Umberto I, with its precious marble floor and glass dome and then you can admire the facade of the Real Teatro San Carlo, one of the oldest in Europe.
• Taking Via Toledo, you will get to know the shopping district and discover the ancient history of this famous road from its starting point to the end, to reach the historic center, UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Before proceeding you will make a detour to the famous "Quartieri Spagnoli" (Spanish districts), mirror of the city life and chest of wonderful street-art works!
• You will visit the bustling local market of Pignasecca, the most active local market in the city, where you can browse among artisans and stalls both to taste local products, and for your souvneir... and of course for an authentic Neapolitan espresso!
• The route will continue to Piazza del Gesù, which takes its name from the homonymous Baroque church, one of the most majestic in Naples.
• You will walk along a stretch of the famous Spaccanapoli - the lower decumanus of ancient Neapolis -there will be a stop at Piazza Bellini to observe the cultural stratification of Naples, from its Greco-Roman foundation.
• Before ending the tour you will cross Via dei Tribunali - the decumanus major - and you can admire the Campanile della Pietrasanta, an ancient example of Romanesque, until you reach via San Gregorio Armeno, famous worldwide for the workshops of the Masters Cribs.
• Last stop will be the Cathedral, the fascinating Cathedral of Naples that houses the relic of the Blood of San Gennaro, venerated patron saint of the city.
